Now this looks like an awesome mod. How much did the lights (lamps, projectors, ballasts, etc.) cost you? Also, do these function as your high-beams as well?

Can you give us some info (email addy, link, etc) on this person?

I got lights as complete set with only outside glass cracked and it cost me only $70, but i got it from a friend body shop. Additional hardware i got from Home depot(paint, still rods, washers, etc) for may be another $20-30. Wire harness I got from a guy that was supposed to build very Hi quality harness and fast. It took almost 2 month for me to get new harness and I was not impressed with it's quality at all, so I don't even mention his name. To build nice harness shouldn't take much, I would recommend do this your self. I have a link on write up page to the HID Planet, they have a sticky on how to build a harness, simple process.
These projectors are Bi Xenon, which means they utilize Low and Hi beams into one unite. Inside the projector is a small sheald, which gives you LOW beam, when HI beam is activated this sheald moves Down with assistant of a solenoid, and this creates HI beam pattern. Most of the current cars such BMW 3,5,7 series have Bi-xenon, Mercedes, Cadillacs and many other.

Those are not HIDs. And if they are they are heavily illegal.

I've also seen bulbs that were "HID"-looking but weren't. Thought these could be those. Either way you want the real thing- housing, lense, and all.

All After market kits are Illegal Now, They produce so much glare and people started to complain about it. So Government made all manufactures of these kits to stop selling them. I believe that the only way to get Xenon/HID is to use OEM equipment (Projectors, bulbs and ballast), this way you don't get flash from on coming traffic.

You have painted your housing black, does leaving the reflector housing in stock form product so much glare? I would think not since 99+ lights have clear glass ? After retrofitting mine with H4 adapter kit, Although it's bright enough, I see some hot spots and I started to wonder about a projector retrofitting(I somehow saw this thing coming but chose to ignored it). I really want to keep it in as stock form as possible

I wonder if I could get a set of BMW Bi-Xenon's to work in the same way.

You can leave them unpainted, I couldn't find a material for a front plate/sheld to match the rest of the housing, so i decided to painted black.

The BMW Xeon's might work, but you'll probably never get them aligned right. You really need something with height or else every driver on both sides of the highway will pull over and beat you to death.

Why do you say that? If you look at my pictures the lights are perfectly align and aim properly. I preveusly had Philips Vision Plus bulbs and would get flash once in a while, since i got Bi-Xenon Installed 3month I didn't get a single flash.
