Will a Double Din Headunit fit?

I have the bypass done on my Pioneer, but it will still switch to the camera when I shift into reverse. As long as your reverse wire is hooked up correctly it should work, whether you have the bypass done or not. It took me a little work to find the VSS and the reverse wire, but now that they are connected everything works great.

Hmmm, which wire is that, and will I still be able to use my other cameras. All the cameras run through a selectable switch and remain on whe n switch is on, totally dependant of the HU. I have the option for reverse cam, the revers wire if I'm not crazy is hooked up in the bypass.... I think.

However, there is also a Violet/White wire that comes off the Pioneer wiring harness that I believe is the wire you want to use. The manual states that this vio/wht wire should be connected to the lead wire of the back lamp in which the voltage changes when the gear shifter is in the Reverse (R) postion. This connection enables the HU to sense whether the vehicle is moving forwards or backwards.
Since you have a selectable switch that is always HOT (directly connected to the battery), you will still have to turn your switch to the reverse camera either before or after you shift into Reverse in order to put power to the correct camera. Connecting the vio/wht wire will simply enable your HU to jump to rear view mode when you shift into R rather than you depressing the button on the HU.
BTW, here's the link to the 4100 Manual. Once there, click on the "Installation Manual" and go to pg 7.

Now where the proper wire is located that you should connect your vio/wht wire too...I have no idea . As always, good luck guinea pig

Since you don't recall this vio/wht wire, here's a pic I found of mine...you may have to stand on your head to read the tag correctly
Anyone know which wire we should connect this vio/wht wire too? All I know is that it should be connected to the lead wire of the back lamp in which the voltage changes when the gear shifter is in the Reverse (R) postion, but any idea where this wire is located and what color is it??
