Why do I sit lower?
I have noticed since I bought my truck that it sits lower than earlier 3rd gens.
Like 99-01's. My girlfriend keeps telling me I am nuts. Tonight I was parked right next to one, and I am sitting about 2 inches lower. Were those higher from the factory? It was also a 4WD Limited, just 2-3 years older.

Well T/Y. Now I'd have to get a 4" lift to just get the 2" over stock I want. I like the way the older trucks look, but I want to go 2" higher. That will mean I have to change CV angles and all now, correct? I just wanted springs & shocks or airbags slapped on and get the longer brake lines and the panhard drop and be done with it. Bad enought I can't find anyone local to lend a hand when I am ready (shops)

You will not need a 4" lift to go 2" higher than an older stock runner. If you and that guy bought(for example) the same OME springs, you would set very close to the same height.
