Who makes low profile safari racks?
My next thing to do on my '90 after my wheels come in this week is a safari rack and some aux. lighting. Does anyone make a rack that slides in the factory slots on the roof without using the luggage racks? That would be really nice because it would be a really low profile look. I have been eyeing the Surco rack in my Keystone book at work, it looks good I guess it's a good brand?

scarface, i have the surco safari rack on my 4runner and i love it. i havent put any aux lights on it b/c ive been spending my money on my lift. I would definately go with the surco. It mounts to the factory rails. the guy i bought it off of gave me 4 thule load bars, so i used them. hope this helps

i also have a surco rack, i love it, and it slides right into my factory slots. Its also half the price of most of the racks. Its great for auxilary lighting, you just have to buy some mounts.
Heres a pic of what mine looks like.
