Where to Find Factory Tracks for Roof Rack on 1997 4Runner?
I recently bought a 1997 4Runner which must be the only one on the planet without a factory roof rack. I just need the tracks that go down either side of the roof, not the cross bars. I have a new THULE rack that should click right into those tracks. My problem is that I can't find them anywhere. When I do, at a salvage yard, they want to sell me the whole roof rack, cross bars and all for $150- 250. Surely I can find just the tracks somewhere for cheaper right? Any help appreciated as to where I can look for these. I didn't think it would be this big of an ordeal. Thank you- Thank you- Thank you.

My 96 didn't come with them either. I bought mine from http://toyotaparts4u.com/ for about $24 each, if I remember correctly. I don't have the part number any more, but e-mail them and see if they can help you out.
