The "Which wheels should I get?" poll

I think it looks ugly with the silver ring around those black spoke rims, so my vote goes for the all silver.
Black would have been my first vote but only with black beads or at least different rims.

Seems like there are only 2 types of people who run black rims. 1st are guys who save money with the cheap crawlers because they actually use them off road and scratchs are no big deal. The second group are guys who are trying really hard to LOOK like they use them off road. I run polished on my Taco and they get repolished often due to off roading and it is a pain but looks really good for my daily use and will stick with the stock rims on my Runner which will get less off road use than the Taco.

eh a few scratches never hurt anyone. well okay they probably did, but on my wheels not a big deal. i could just touch them up.
hmm...what i might do is keep them original for now to see how i like them, then i may just powdercoat them later.

since you use yours offroad i would just go ahead and get some of the wheel paint and not bother with powdercoating. of course those rings should protect the wheel pretty well from scratches.
i vote for black wheels.

This is my plan well, I have kept my stock 5 spokes for the same reason. I will keep them silver, but I was wondering if when the beadlock rings are welded on, does it mess up the finish? I didn't look at Bruces close enough or ask him when I saw him in Moab last year.

I think you should get the black wheel with the silver bead. That is the nicest looking wheel I have seen. I cant believe I didnt think to do that to mine. I love the look with black wheels with crome lips on cars and trucks. I know you have to see a lot of rides over in cal like that. I see lots of tahoes and other cars with black wheels with crome lips and It looks great. This way you are with the in trend and looking good and still looking mean off road. No other option black. I may try to get my wheels back now and see if I can get them in gun metal with a silver bead on my white runner. What do you think?

hm...gun mental wheels with a silver bead on a white runner? i think that could look good. i'd probbably go a big darker on the wheels tho, to a dark grey or even black.

I'd go with the two-tone black option with only the inner (main body of) spokes painted black so that their outer outline would still be visible (silver) to give them a bit more character and definition, and I'd leave the center caps silver as well to give them depth.
