What's a reasonable price for this particular WELD/FABjob? Cud I be gettin 'jipped'?

Yep, you'll want to paint before he welds just leave 2" or so clean around every surface to be welded. If not no big deal it'll just burn off. Overhead welding can suck, but that's what leathers are for, or if he is skilled enough and has the equipment TIG. Price sounds fair to me as well.

The price you were quoted is pretty accurate. I am sure you can get someone who is a little cheaper, but you get what you pay for. If they are going to travel to your location and perform all that work, it is worth it.
Knowing what people pay for good equipment and the skill involved and the "pain in the ass" level of job, it is a fair price.

Hey you asked why the sliders are longer on one end. the frame on some vehicles pinches together in the front on some vehicles, so the sliders have to be longer in front... I think
