What/Who is T37?
Who can tell me what T37 is? Is it a company that manufactured the blocks back in the 70's, 80's? I saw this emblem on the 20R block and head and have also seen them on Toyota patches, hats etc.

this prolly isnt related but i have a friend who used to have a supra TT that made about 480hp and i remember hearing about aftermarket/ custom turbo units with model designations similar to that form....T30, T__ etc...someone here probably knows more about this than me...

Garrett does make a GT37 turbo. I have seen a few used ones at the second hand shops over here in Japan. The G is commonly dropped from turbo names over here because when asked what turbo you have you say Garrett TXXXX or HKS TXXXX (yes HKS really are Garrett turbos so the G is already assumed. Hence a T37 sticker could be had very easily.
The T37 is also a Military Air Craft designator ...twin engine jet for pilot training and later moded to an attack aircraft.
The Japan web site for Toyota has too many entries for T 37 and none of those entries also had a listing for 20R engines.
Dont know if that helps you or not

That's not T37. That's Toyota in Japanese (Katakana) and that used to be the logo of Toyota.
edit: The first character (looks like T) is To, the second character (looks like 3) is Yo, and the third character (looks like 7) is Ta.
