What a week---PICS!
WOW! What a fun week.
In the first part of the week I built myself a custom sub box for my 800 watt American Legacy Amp and 12inch Infinity Sub. Here are some pics:

Then comes the fun part. I have a 1969 Pontiac Firebird, on the last run of the season the engine didnt run right so I decided it was time for a bigger one. So this weeks project was to tear out the old 350, tear it apart and find the problems and then put together a 455. So I took out the 350 and started to tear it apart. OH NO is all I have to say. The guy who did the re-build didnt do a very good job. I had 5 spun bearing, main seal and bearing were bad, 2 piston seals broken. Im amazed I got the car on the trailer. Anyway, here are some pics, I will have some more when I get the 455 back from the machine shop. The 455 came out of a 70 Boneville station wagon.

Dude I really like that box! I wanted to build a similar box but I just couldn't talk myself into using only 1 12. What size MDF did you use, and what do you figure the internal volume to be? Looks sweet!

The box was muxh easier to build than I thought and was REALLY fun. I got much more sound out of it too, its 3/4 in board and there is about 1 cubic foot. The sub is reated at 1200 watt, but 800 is plenty, I could break a window if I wanted.
The 350 motor was only putting about 270 horse out....boo. A pontiac racing guy is helping me build the motor and find out the compression and all that good stuff. Every last horse is going to be taken out of it. The guy est its going to be about 450 horse. Cant wait to get the new block back!!!

Very impresive! I am thinking about building a difernet box that doesn't take as much space. I don't know if I have the mad skilzz to build something as nice as that one.

I didnt write down any of the measurments, sorry! I just took a cardboard template to the wheel well and went from there....I wasnt thinking, I should have wrote everything down. Sorry again, if you build a box like this that is sealed I would def recommend putting that insulation stuff in there, gives it a more chrips bang

I can measue the box and give you those...except im in Minnesota and its -10 below and my dad doesnt want his escalade sitting outside and the Firebird is in the other stall (both heated garages), so it might have to wait until tomorrow until I can get the car in the garage to measure.
