What to upgrade broken rear diff with?

My rear end has gone out and I thinking about replacing a few things on the rebuild. The dealer wants 1300 for parts and 500 for labor... REDICULOUS!! So i am researching LSD's and a new ring and pinion as well as a reputable installation kit (ie. Yukon). I have a 1999 manual 4x4... Anyone know any part numbers to start with? I saw that a detroit 913A321 fits my rear but i am still looking for the ring and pinion part numbers for yukon or something similar as well as the part numbers for the installationg kit that will come with all the bearings and seals. any ideas?

Anyone have any idea if mine has a 4.11 rear ratio since its a v6 manual tranny? Also, Yukon or Precision Gear?

4.10's most likely

randy's ring&pinion has a full list of LSD's, lockers, and gears to fit what you have

It does list the LSD assuming i have the 8" used on all v6's and it lists 4.11, 4.56, 4.88, 5.29 and others. Some people told me that mine is possibly a 4.56 or 4.88 but i was sure that the manual would be a 4.11 from what i have read... guess i will take the VIN to the toyota dealer tomorrow.

Why not just look at the gear code in the door jam and then use the site to decipher it? I am fairly certain the option is a 4.10 as opposed to a 4.11, and there is almost no chance that your V6 came with a 5 speed and the 4.56, they were mostly put into 4 bangers to make up for the lack of power with higher RPM's. My 00 2.7 5 speed had the 4.56 and at 70 I was turning 3,000 RPM's, although we would have different trannies so I don't know if the 5th gear ratio is the same between the G52 and W59.

I have a manual and my ratio from factory was 4.10. The next step up was 4.30's, but most of those came on the limited Runners with the factory locker. Also most of the 15" wheel packages came with 3.90's, so if you have 16" wheels it's most likely 4.10's

Precision or US Gear. You might get lucky with Yukon and get one of those two brands in the Yukon box but then again you may not too.

It is definitely a 4.10, but i cant seem to find a place to get a ring and pinion for less than about 700 bucks because they are hard to find. Randys ring and pinion doesnt have any and cant get any right now, as also found with a few other places. The dealership wants 900 for the ring and pinion alone since its rare to replace... they would rather give you a new third pre-build for 1200. Any ideas... i really like my ratio now with the supercharger (3000 rpm at 80 mph)
