what the thing under the intake manifold called

hey all,
first off i am working on a 1986 22-re from a toyota 4runner

for the last month i have been rebuilding my head (working at every odd moment) and i am wondering about something:

there is a pipe that plugs into the bottom of the intake manifold and then proceeds to wrap around the backside of the head and plugs into a hose (decent sized one)
i was wondering
a) what is this pipe called
b) is there a gasket for it (i didnt get one with my kit (using felpro for all gaskets except head gasket (OEM)

thanks all

Don't know what it is called, but it uses an O ring at the intake manifold end. It wasn't in my kit either. I reused the old one and put sealer on it.

its the egr pipe i belive is what your talking about, i replaced my stock exhaust with a header, and didnt use the egr, you probably could just plug and not use if wanted.
