What size sway bar bushings?

Okay, I've decided to replace the bushings to see if it fixes the problem. However, I do not know what size to by for my 01 prerunner xcab v6. One web site sell only to year 2000. My brother went to look for me at a local off road shop and they said they only have for up to 2000 also. If anyone can help I'd appreciate it.

I've been looking on the net and found a site that said they used the 27mm one. You're just not going to use some of the parts that come with it. I'm ordering it soon, let you guys know how it goes.

You could always measure the diameter of the bar that you have on the truck. That always seemed to work fine for me. Don't know off-hand what the newer trucks use.

Sorry in advance for the long post. I orderd the 27mm energy sus bushings from off-road solutions. It supposed to come 2nd day air. However, they didn't have it in stock so they gave me a half off shipping. When I got the set, I looked at it before opening the package and one was stamped 27mm and the other 26mm. That sucked!! So I called them again and they sent me the correct piece, another 27mm bushing. Great customer service. I would definitly recomend them.

As far as performance, I haven't put them on yet. I did put on the 26mm I orderd for my mom's 95.5 2wd tacoma. The bushing was too thick for the bracket to fit around. On my truck there's a small gap but there is defenitly a difference. The truck still leans a little too much for my taste but at least it doesn't sway left and right anymore.

Kevin,

Did you also get the rear addco swaybar? If yes, where did you buy it?

Thanks.

I think my '85 4Runner had a 19mm dia. bar, but not 100% sure, it's been over 6 years since it has been on the truck. Easy way to find out is to measure the dia. of the bar, it's not that hard.

I got it awhile back from a yt member for dirt cheap. You can find the addco rear sway bar from performance products. Or you can look at the vendors list at www.addco.net
