What size socket for knock/oil pressure sensor?
What size socket does it take to remove the knock sensor? It seems to be bigger than 24mm. I'm in the middle of a job, so any help ASAP would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Edit: Sorry this is for a 1998 4Runner 4-cyl. It only has one knock sensor.

That is the oil pressure sender. You don't need to replace it unless it's bad or the threads are stripped. Otherwise, use some plumber's pipe joint compound. Much cheaper than a new sender and will stop the leak. Just put a solid, light coat on the threads and tighten the bugger down with a 24mm deep well socket until it's good and snug.

Did anyone ever find out the correct socket size for the knock sensor? I've got my intake off and found out my knock sensor was never hooked up after the last recall for the head gasket job done back in '98. I'm hooking it up now but would like to take the sensor out first to do a quick test of it. It's bigger than a 24mm for sure - not sure if it's 26 or 27. Sears has 2 socket sets - one that goes up to 26 and one that starts at 27 and up. I dont know which set to get (or just the individual one) for the dang knock sensor.
