What size exhaust tubing for 3.0?
Well i'm either going to get 2.25" or 2.5" exhaust tubing from the cat back for my 3.0. I'm going to get the same inlet/outlet size muffler depending on the tubing I get. I'm leaning towards the 2.25", so just wondering what you guys recommend?

I'm not sure if the search function is back up yet so I'll try to point you in the right direction.
If you go with the 2.5", you will lose your low end torque and gain upper end power. I've heard that the 2.25" is recommended because it keeps the power in the 2K to 4K rpm range. Corey has a lot of good exhaust info on his site.
In this thread Corey posted the exhaust size table from Dynomax's website.
I'm going with 2.25" on my 4runner.
I hope that helps.

I believe it's also 2.25" but I could be wrong. The muffler that is on mine is 2" but the exhaust before the muffler is still the 2.25". I know that Toyota went to 2.5" on the 3.4L so I think that it is 2.25" on the 3.slow. Like I said, I'm not 100% positive.

I mesured my old stock like tailpipe and it was 2" along with my cat to muffler tubing right now. But before the cat which I think is the original looks like 2.25. I read the stock Tacoma tubing is also 2.25, but if you go supercharged to get the 2.5.
