What is the Minimum lift needed

What is the Minimum lift needed
I was just wondering what the minimum lift needed to stuff 285/75/16's on a 4runner. Can i use a top out spacer or do I need to put springs in. Also if i use a spacer will i need wheel spacers.

Wouldn't it be cool if this forum had a search function that you could type what you were trying to find, and then a bunch of thread with information pertaining to your question would pop up and then you could read and learn all you needed to know?

I have 63 inch chevies up front and S-10 Torsion bars in the rear for 7.6" lift.

I think that the link that SLC97SR5 gave you is going to be your best bet.
As far as being told to search, don't take it too seriously. We have all been told to "search, noob" at one point or another. But really, this topic has been beat to death. The info is out there. Did you try changing up your search terms?

The above link is the Bible of the Tundra/OME lift. It was also the birth of the 3/8" top out spacer.
The first lift I ran was a 2.5" Daystar. I could have fit 285's with a 1" BL.
The spacer only setup worked ok but it was harsh and provide no increase in droop, it simply pre-loaded the existing shocks/springs.

yeah, about three inches should get ya... did for me, running NON-AGGRESSIVE tires... i would have no problem with AT's or MT's except for clearance between rubber and upper a-arm.... wheels would take care of that, MT's and some AT's may have a little more rubbing when wheeling, or going over a bump while turning.... If i disconnect the sway bar when wheeling I need to use 1/4 wheelspacers, If i leave it connected its ok... you could use coil spacers of some type, but I wish i went for springs, still plan on it too ... basically the equivalent of a 1inch spacer up front got me 2.75-3" lift, and equiv of a 3 inch spacer in rear got me 3 in
