What I am able to get for...

An '86 4runner, 4Cyl. 5sp?

It's mostly stock with original alloy wheels.

It's in unbelievable good shape with original paint and no rust:

Oh yeah, 208K miles. Calif. reg.

Thanks,

Nam

Wow! Just like mine. Wish I had the Toyota wheels, but the aftermarkets were already on it when I bought. Sorry I can't help with a price as I've never seriously entertained the idea of selling. I checked it out on kbb.com once for kicks, but that figure was a joke. Good luck.

I'll give ya a grand...I need a dog car and 1st gen would probably do me just fine.

Of course, if I got it, I'd have to get a new Lady Hayduke, cause this one would dump me and take my beautiful 2nd gen and half the dogs.

Scratch that idea. I think it would cost me tooooo much.

A good price for Southern California would be 3500.00 - 4000.00.

heheheheh...thanks guys for all the entertainments...it's fun reading you posts as well as those humorous replies...I enjoy them all.

I am not sure, kbb.com and edmunds.com doesn't give much for it...I guess to some body, it's worth and mean a lot, and to others...it's just a 18 yrs. old truck with lots of miles.

To me, I can't keep it even though I love it. It does not fit me anywhere. I now have a '98 Honda CR-V which gets me from point A to point B economically. The '00 4runner Limited 4wd is for weekend pleasure and towing my 40yr. old vintage boat, not to mention occasional light offroad trips.

So what can I use this '86 4runner for? a summer convertible sport truck?

What do you think?

When I was looking there was one in the Irvine area that was snapped up in less than a week after posting on Autotrader - supposedly in awesome shape, daily driver - it went for 4800.

If it is in really that awesome shape and completely stock - I'd say go for $5000 and see if people will work with you on that. One of the 1st gens I went to look at I got beat out on 'cause some guy from Vegas flew to San Diego to look at it
This one had a leaky power steering pump and a replaced engine (90K) - was going for $3250.
