HAHa one thing comes to mind.
Back several years ago while living in florida. I worked at a dealership in Tampa. Anyhow.... a buch of us techs use to go trailing accross the street during lunch. The truck I was riding in had some Huge tires and was an effort to even get into. Well we had found a ditch filled with water that was fun to go through, even though easy. Well, Kenny got the idea to create some big ruts in the ditch under the water. Then we invited my friend steve and his new 94 3.0L Xcab 4X4 to follow us. Kenny steered around the ruts. But sure enough Steve plowed right into it. Um... LOL was funny. The truck was swallowed almost whole. well in our fun, we failed to think of a way to get him out. Kenny had cleaned the truck out the last weekend and didnt have tow straps or anything. So steve had to convince the tow truck guy to venture down the trails in his rig. lol cost a fortune if i remember right. Bent the piss outta his bumper to pull him out.

Oh, I also have broken through the top layer of my wax getting some custom forest pin stripping, but nothing the Porter Cable buffer can't fix with some new wax.

I broke the RR Quarter Bumper on my truck about 2 weeks after I bought it whilst playing in the snow. Bent the crap outta the chrome when I whacked a guard rail. Dinged the RF corner of the front bumper, too. I was less than pleased.
Stupid me for going too fast in snow with the lame GY Wranglers...

That must have been a pain to fix how ling did it take you to replace, and do you have pics of the procedure. Did you have to get a new one or a rebuilt one. Must have been spendy too.

Speakin' of snow, quite a few rigs were sliding up on the high part of our run this Saturday.
Even the rigs with the bigger tires.
I tried to slide a few times on purpose, and could not.
I was really impressed with my Wild Country tires up there.
I did not air down either, and was running 35 PSI in them.
They hooked up real good.
But I am still cautious in the snow. In this pic here, you have steep drop offs that will surely kill you on the left side of the road.
Jim's '89 truck was starting to slide towards the left side when he parked on an incline.
That has got to be scary.
With the amount of rain we are having down here right now, I bet that road won't even be doable in a week or two.

I'll have a full write-up within the hour
Yeah, it made a loud popping noise.
At first I thought it was a CV.
I was going down a steep hill when I heard the bang.
Dang Toy flaps are about $45 each at the dealer.

Once when backing up, I hit something that separated the wheel from the tire (something sharp got in between where the tire meets the wheel and pushed the wheel overlap back really far). So, naturally, the tire was flat and I had a hell of a time changing it in the mud.

Let's see, what have I broken...
2 engines seized
A bakers dozen or so CV's
Just as many U-joints
4 shock towers
A half dozen rims
Countless tires
3 or 4 bumpers
2 windshields
A few assorted other windows
1 complete drivers door
1 burned up auto transmission
2 winches, 1 hydraulic, 1 electric
2 snatch blocks
2 or 3 differential carriers & spiders
1 differential housing
2 sets of ring and pinion gears
1 flywheel
I am sure there is more if I look back at the pictures...
Now before you start thinking I am a lousy driver, this is over multiple off road vehicles, during my 20 year wheeling history. I used to race, jump and compete, so all in all, it's not THAT bad...

well this isn't really a break, but i lost my tow hitch cover when i went wheeling in the mud on saturday. yeah i know, nothing to write home about. i was going up this hill, could't quite make it, so i backed down and when i did my hitch dug into the mud and the cover fell out. i put it back in, but i guess not tight enought because when i got home it was gone. that thing was always falling off anyway.

Having said that, I've never broken anything while wheeling, but I know it's just a matter of time (especially now that I've said that).

broken??? Oblitherated!!!
Just on this 4runner:
Speedometer Cable: Yesterday
Ring and Pinion:Bam!! Kaa-chunk!! Ka-chink! Ka-chink!Ka chink! Ka chin..
Idler arm
front axle: VROOOM!!!~ tink, tink,tink..."Hey dude, there's something hanging down off the bottom of your truck!!"
Rear Sway Bar: 5 years ago~ Still haven't had it replaced. Better without it.
Numerous things bent and discarded
This 4Runner has taken an amazing amount of abuse, but it has always gotten me back to camp--Even after breaking a ring and pinion! It wasn't quiet, in fact it was a bone-wrenching,frame-twisting,"KA-CHINK!!" every rotation of the ring.
Toyotas Kick Ass!!!!
