What gauge wire?

Just some quick questions. Does anyone know what gauge wire is coming out of the back of a Uniden PRO 520XL? I need to extend the power cable because I am adding a new fusebox in the engine compartment. Also, I know switches that are using relays require very low amperage to flip the relay, what gauge wire can I use to the switch from my new fusebox, and then from the switch to the relay? How many relay powered switches can I have on one 15 amp fuse? I would believe its pretty much endless as they dont use many amps. Also, my fusebox that I bought has a main fuse on the unit, do I still have to add an inline fuse on the wire? I know I could probably search for all this, but Im getting ready to go somewhere and dont have time. Thanks!

I dunno Uniden but ALOT of CB's use 14 gauge power.....before you buy just look at it real well then compare in the store. Maybe even cut a piece off the CB....you can easily see the diff between 12 and 14....

for a cb, it isnt too critical.. i would say its probably between an 18-14 guage wire... 12, is quite large, in respect to vehicle electronics....
