should look good and to answer the question no, you will not need the diff drop. the diff drop is only for 4WD and it is to release pressure off of the CVs, which you don't have

just bring a good tow rope, and a good buddy.... when you get stuck, well you are really stuck
and to be fair, won't a locking rear diff help you more than just bigger tires? If you really want to do some mild offroading, a locker would help a lot more. Maybe you should focus on that if you truly want offroadability.

if you wanna do some 2wd trail blazin' like a pre-runner, the lift may be nice for adding bigger tires, but I'd suggest:
1) a lunchbox locker in the rear will give you some traction that you could actually rely on
2) extended travel shocks for that lift you're considering
keep putting different words in the search box and get some more info on pre-runner trucks. 2wd trucks can do plenty of trail blazing as long as you're not tackling too many slippery surfaces, uneven, or steep inclines
good luck with that!

hey guys thanks for the help im gunna look into the lockers now aswell but the first thing i want is the lifts cuz i want them before i need new tires that way i can get the bigger tires when that comes up then the diff and whenever i go off roaden i allways have someone usually my dad who has a 07 dodge 2500 cummins with a 8in lift ob 37in tires so i think he should be able to pull my little runner out lol plus somtimes half the fun of offroading is geting to pull someone out whos stuck lol even if it is me

yeah you know many what i would do it a 2 inch or 3 in body lift then get some 31 or 32s later on and maybe down the line get a rear axle with the elocker from a junkyard!! 2wd have a different rear axle.. also with a daily driver the best locker is a selectable so you dont wear your tires funny

Nothing wrong with lifting a 2wd if you want.
I use this story all the time, but, my dad bought a 2wd Tundra even though we go camping into Baja several times a year, and run 100's of miles w/o problems.
Loaded down with camping gear we were bottoming out in certain areas, so we put on a 2" lift in the front and air bags in the rear. Its great and the power of the V8 gets us wherever...also low pressure MT tires help.
