Weird noise drivers side dash

Hi All.

I am new here and did a search but cannot find an answer. I just bought a 99 Tacoma 4wd in Belize. When I speed up to 45 + I hear a noise in the drivers dash that sounds like a popping, klunking noise. It almost sounds like a vacuum pot being pulled in, losing its seal and the bellow popping out..

The truck had 120 k and I was wondering what preventive work should be done? The roads in Belize are poor to say the least and I have had the suspension checked and ball joint, bushings, etc have been replaced and in good shape. The rear shocks are missing the rubber bushings and will be replaced

Any help would be appreciated..

more info

I forgot to mention that I rev'ed the engine to the same rpms to simulate 45+mph to see if it was a vacuum leak but heard nothing. It only does it when the car is moving

Check the inner lining of the driver's front wheel well. I had a similar strange noise. It was a flap banging against another flap, only at high/mid speeds when the air blew hard enough in there to pull it back. The flap had rotted a bit and a corner had ripped away from the rivet. This sounds strange, but take a look.
