wanting to replace rear license plate housing...

anyone know the correct name for the license plate housing thing on the back of the 4runners? I have a 99 limited, and the top of mine is like dry rotting i guess. It was doing that when i bought it and its too late to reverse it. but im looking to replace it all together. anyone know where i could get a new one?

Call the dealer, they come prepainted.

Toyota calls it a "License plate garnish assembly" part #76801-35260

Buy a new one from Phil (Strap22) or just go to www.toyotapartsales.com and order it from there.

Mine was damaged, I went to a junkyard and got one that looks brand new for $35. I think they are about $180 at the dealer.
