VSC/TRAC beep disable
my 2002 4runner limited beeps at me all the time when i am on on/off ramps on the highway. it has been like this since i put my suspension lift on.
it does not "defuel" (i would destroy that "safety feature" in a heart beat). it just beeps. and NO im not going too fast. the rig seems totally stable and it still beeps.
is there a special speaker for this beep or is it the same one that tells me my keys r still in the ignition. i would like to remove it.
thank you.

Search AndyMod. It's a simple switch that defeats the VSC/TRAC system on demand. That way, it's there when you need it, and can be turned off when you want to sling some mud.

From the wiring diagram it looks like there is a seperate buzzer. It shows it high up above the fuse box behind the left end of the dash. It has a yellow wire supplying power and a blue/black which I assume gets grounded by the ecu when the buzzer is activated. I would think cutting either wire would silence it.
Just curious, how fast are you going when it buzzes. My 01 is lifted as well and the buzzer very rarely goes off.

if i do for example 45 on a 40 mph posted ramp, it will beep half the time. i have never found the beep useful and it is just getting annoying. thank you for looking at the diagram!

Yours definitely sounds more sensitive than mine. About the only time I hear the beep is on gravel roads, when I'm already past the point where it's getting hairy
