I honestly don't think it's going to sound better than the Vortex. The Vortex does get even deeper over time, and gets better with age.

Mine's gotten alot louder, I can tell you that!

What would adding a high-flo cat do?

less restriction of airflow in the catalytic converter means more air pushing through the muffler at a faster pace, makes it louder. and when you get a new muffler i would recommend pulling your efi fuse to reset the ecu and let it learn the new system, i'd do it after replacing a cat as well

Could more air make it deeper too?

depends on how it's dealt with. you're running 3.5" dual tips so your setup is allowing the deepest sound. this is easiest on an aftermarket muffler with stock end tubing. go up to meineke and ask to test 3" tips, and listen to the change when you slide the tip over the muffler...gets deeper as the diameter increases

Anyone have the priviledge to compare the VORTEX and 18" Magnaflow in person? I'm about to start highway driving with college in the near, and the VORTEX is "droney" on the interstate. Is their tone the same?
