A Vulcan mind meld should work for ya Spock

Actually if you lift up your rear seats there should be a long rod underneath it.
When I got my '91, I did not even know the rear sets lifted exposing the storage space under there for the jack and other stuff.

When you find the rod, there should also be a handle for it.
It might be in the very back in one of the cubby holes by the tailgate.

At the rear of your bumper is a hole.
You can see it in my pic here right above the red shackle.

Just insert the rod and then turn it counter clockwise I think.
The tire then should lower for you.

Welcome to YotaTech.

Pink Blanket Pic

Corey,

That pink blanket in the pic is just "so you!"

No question is a dumb question, unless you did not use the "dreaded flashing green button of death" first.

Now that was a nice touch!

He he, it's actually not pink, well it may be now.
That blanket is about 30 years old or more.
Use to be much darker, but has faded over the years.

It's now used for working underneath the rig.

it seems like there was a longer rod hiding in the compartment you found everthing else in on my buddies runner. my dads p/u has a few rods that you connect together. i have nothing, a huge slot screwdiver does the trick but you have to get under the truck to reach it. pita!

There is a 2-3 piece rod in the side compartment behind the back seats. That is what it is used for.

A 3/8" extension of 24" length or longer will engage the winch and lower the spare, if the stock tool is not available.
