user feedback on ATF Cooler from IPT
Im planning to add an addtl ATF cooler to my Surf.
With the TRD cooler, I need to spend a lot of $$$. With Hayden, they don't do international shipping unless you buy at least $100 from them. So I'm left with the IPT PN4589 from importperformancetrans.com.
Any advice/feedbacks/opinions regarding this cooler? What would be the corresponding filter size that I should use?
Thanks!

I haven't heard any thing about that type of cooler, I just got the Hayden that's a little bigger than the TRD one. Any kind you get is better than none at all.
Do you have any more pics of your truck? I like seeing the overseas style 3rd gens with the different looking front ends. What kind of lift do you run to fit the 285 yokohamas?

Actually the front bumper/grille/headlights are just options which the Japanese owner installed (got very lucky on this one - leaves me with few options/mods to spend $$$ on...hahahaha). The standard ones are basically the same as the North American 4Runner.
The Surf came with a 4" suspension lift using Shuei coils and Rancho RS9000 shocks. Actually, the japanese guy who imported it from Japan told me that it was only a 2" lift. However, when it arrived and I compared its height with stock 3rd gen Surfs here in the Phils. and in Australia(thru the Australian Surf forum), it comes out that it has a 4" lift.
The front measures almost 600 mm from the hub center to the lip of the flare. At the rear it measures about 635 mm.
I will be taking pics of the front suspension next week when I'll be replacing the CV boots. I'll post it so you'll be able to get a good look of it. I posted a picture of the rear suspension on the thread - " Identifying coil springs by color".
Also, I'm still working on my truck's site. I'll let you know as soon as it's up & running.
Thanks!
