Used an Induction cleaner.. Idle now 400rpm higher

Hi guys, (and girls )

I bought a 3 pack engine cleaner:
Induciton cleaner
Fuel system cleaner
Oil system cleaner

After using the induction cleaner.. the idle is now around 1000-1100 rpm/min instead of 750 before. (750 is the original idle).

I let the engine idle for a few minutes after the treatment, and then drove it a little to clean it out. it was still running higher..

Then I parked and pulled the ECU fuse for 5 minutes, started and let it idle for a while, then drove it a little.. still 1000-1100 rpm/min.

So I guess this rpm thing is permanent, and might be due to cleaner induction. What should I do..? is there a way to lower the idle rpm ?

The engine is 22-RE in a Toy Hilux '92, 276.000 km

Thanks !!

This is a common issue after cleaning the throttle body. The idle is higher because you opened up some of the orfices that were previously plugged to a certain degree. There is a screw to adjust the idle located on the throttle body to the left of the intake hose. Turn the screw in (clockwise) to lower the idle.

Dumb question but are you sure that you didn't disconnect a vacuum hose during the cleaning process?

Yes I'm sure of that..

...just guess it had to adjust it self, and that indicates thad the cleaning was successful, but the idle is often rough, and I can notice a stubmle in the rythem of the engine, guess I will do another session sometime later, could also be normal, or some other problem, I went on a long trip yesterday and the truck worked well, but I can never maintain a 100 km/h speed in a strong headwind.. the torque could be better.

I have an exhaust header, 2,5" exhaust, no cat. K&N, 38" and 5,71 Diffs, ARB rear locker, A/C air compressor - tank etc..

you can find some good pics on our website: www.depill.tk
