Question Upper nut for L rear shock tower

I'm about to install the 1" PP springs with the Bilstein shocks. I was looking around down there tonight planing my attack and I noticed that the top nut on the Left Rear shock (top of the shock tower) is VERY difficult to reach (gas tank, e-locker harness, brake cables...etc in the way).

For those of you who have removed your own shocks, how did you reach that nut ?

I'm taking the springs out too, so I think I may be able to reach up there once the left spring is out, but I can't tell.

Help...please...

It is a tight space but it can be reached with a bit of trouble.
Use a deep socket 14mm (if stock) on a small rachet, and a use an open wrench to hold the top of the shock from spinning (there should be a hexagonal fitting on top).
Good luck

I went deep socket on top and channel locks on the shock (body).

Vise grip on the top nut, Pipe wrench to turn the complete shock.

It's really easy if you install a 1" body lift!!
