I am glad you are getting it wrapped Steve. Having the issues you have had are like going to the dairy and getting a bad glass of milk. For me, it is more like going to the store and having it be sour and take a long time.
I said I did not want to leave the shop with a rig they were not comfortable sending out or that I would be uncomfortable daily driving. As a result, it is looking like 3 months total.
The head tech is on vacation this week, so pretty much it will sit.
Some times a person has to hit an obstacle with momentum, most of the time that is a bad idea. Moab is a whole different sort of driving.
Out East, I would have two lockers before I had a crawler. Oh wait, I do and I will.

Truck arrived April 24th.
First call around the 15th of January.
First cash by the 31st of January.
Looking good for the 24th of July otherwise it may not be until 10th of August.

And the Gods smiled down on me today.
The only good news after 12.5 hours of work today was the only problem left is swapping the adaptor. Then she will be all done.
This means it should finally be over on July 17th.
I thought about just coming back and getting it for the Jambo, but I need to install my winch, measure and order new lower control arms, Line-X the rockers, powdercoat my bumper...

Aug. 16th.
After turning 5 shades of red and talking with Schaefer to mellow out, I thought it time to pass the knowledge.
A project that was supposed to be on the trail for Memorial Day is going to barely make Labor Day.
Anyone have shop or floor space in August so I can mount my winch and new rear links for the Jambo?
And on top of this, my metric tools are with the rig so I can't install the lift I have for my bro's 97!

I am getting it Thursday.
Thanks Jake, Doug and Darcie for the offers on space. I will thankfully be installing my new links and winch in the comfort of my own garage.

The final chapter...
At 3:30 a.m. Central time Thursday morning, and against my better judgment, I left my house headed for the airport and a 1100 mile flight.
Now, at 1:30 a.m. Central time on Saturday morning, as in just less than 48 hours later, I am back at my house with my truck having covered another 1100 miles, most of which started at 9:30 today and kept going thanks to 8 Red Bulls, 2 Lameocinos, 3 qts. of ATF and some lound country music.
More thoughts after my brain gets out of warp drive and I can take a look underneath again.
