Unhappy Unknow part

Hi,
I've got 4runner (1988) SR5 EFI with 2.4i 22RE motor.
Could anyone tell me what this piece exactly is?
Thanks!

Looks like what Toyota calls a VSV, Vacumm Switching Valve.

If you have A/C it may be the vsv for that. Check the label under the hood if it's still there and legible - that will give you an indication.

If you don't have A/C, it's still a vacuum switching valve and is needed for the emissions...I wouldn't remove it if that's what you're thinking.

Think of a VSV as a relay for vacuum. There are usually a few VSVs on the engine. As noted one is switched on w/ the A/C compressor to boost the idle speed on the engine. Another is switched on while starting to boost fuel pressure. On some models there is a VSV to control EGR valve operation, etc. So fine out what the VSV is hooked to. They usually have one vacuum line from the intake, a second vent line w/ air filter and then the 3rd line connects to something. That "something" is the clue to it's function.

Unknow part

Well thank you,
so part's ID is Toyota 30910-12084.

There are only two tubes(probably fuel) going to EFI. (tubes.jpg)
What mixed me up was this small roller-you can rotate with it, so I thought it was some adjustment-it isn't , because when you put the roller down, there is a immovable stick. (roller.jpg)

Those tubes feed vacuum signals from around the throttle body to the VSV where it switches between them and the atmosphere. Your "roller" is likely the air filter that fits over the atmosphere port. It is likely for the EGR system.
