Typical 4runner limited electric Climate Control problem?

I'm having problems with my '99 4Runner limited's electronic climate control. My problem doesn't match up exactly with the typical problems though. So I'm wondering if it's worth sending it in for repair. I was going to use this guy for the repair:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1999-2000-20...1ae3e9&vxp=mtr

My climate control will blink on and off 99 percent of the time.
If I hold down the "off" button while starting my car up, then the climate control will always turn on.
But while it's on, it's flakey. It'll go full blast cold and ignore all input from me, unless I turn the temp to really hot, like 80 degrees. And then it'll slow the speed, but never turns off the A/C.

Just FYI, this repair service is on sale for $76 and includes free shipping TO and FROM.

Sale is showing as ending in nine hours though.

Eddie - Did you send it off to TN? If so, everything go smoothly?

I bought the $76 deal a few days ago, received the UPS label and pulled the Climate Control Unit this evening with no sweat. It was easier than I thought. Sending the unit off tomorrow.

Interesting thing. After removing the climate control module, the turn signals no longer operate. Anyone know why?

Received unit back from ASI today, took 5 minutes to plug back in and good as new...Amazing what its like to have a fully functioning AC for the first time in this truck. This company warrants their work for life and were fabulous to deal with. Took one week door to door. Can't recommend them enough.

Found that the emergency blinkers had come unplug during removal process which explains the lack of blinkers. They are working again.

Nice. It's nice to not have to punch it 10 times to get it to work.
When you remove the hazard switch, the blinkers stop working.
