Geezee. Great pics. If I had never seen a vehicle roll, I wouldn't be afraid of it. Kinda like a fearless kid. But now that I have (moab & videos), I'm scared to death of it. I REALLY REALLY REALLY don't want to roll and total my truck. My insurance would skyrocket, and I probably couldn't find something comparable for what I get.

Anyways, sounds like fun!!

Jun 19th or 26th would be fine with me. What do you say guys, TX4ROC outing at Barnwell? There are trails to suit all styles, from newbie to well beyond. You can go bone stock and still have a great time there. All trails are clearly marked with ratings before you even start. And for those that would have to drive a bit, they have full service campgrounds as well. Its about 2 hours from Dallas.

Thanks for the map to the place. I have to check it out. Whats this place called? Most places to off road in Texas are on private property. Is this place private? How does it work...pay money and get it on? Do alot of people in Texas go to this place because I never heard of it.

I'm definitely interested in joining ya next time out. Let me know. If ya start a new thread in the Texas forum regarding this place...please post the link.

Blake you rascal, I'm surprised a seasoned offroad expert (of 4 months) like yourself was skeered by that side slope. I know it looked bad and I know it felt worse for 4route who was on the downhill side, but we were no where close to tipping over!

These trucks will surprise you with what it takes to flip one especially when it is stopped or moving slowly. Now driving like a bat out of hell, bouncing around, creating lots of wheel spin is a totally different story. We tried to straddle the ruts becuase I thought clearance under her diffs was gonna cause trouble. We slide in to the rut, no big deal.

Anyway, it was great to meet all of you. I hope to do it again. We should make the drive out to Barnwell or down to Katemcy. It is well worth the drive. Totally different terrain!

Blake I'd like to send you these other videos.

Brandon! Thanks for riding along with me and giving me some pointers, and all the moral support. It was very nice to have met you, and maybe sometime you can bring your H2 and my brother will come too so you can check his SUT out. (if they ever come out)

Yeah ... the downhill side was not so cool. I have a feeling it's a good thing I didn't floor it right there.

What kind of terrain is there at Barnwell or Katemcy?

Guys, thanks again, that was a good way to celebrate the end of the school year
