Actually, the 4WD TRD TUNDRA RED BILLIES are about the same as the Yellow HD Billies. The 2WD TRD TUNDRA RED BILLIES are SOFTER than the regular billies and are almost comparable to the OME N91s Firm Strut - but still slightly stiffer.

you do NOT have TRD coils. If they are 2WD coils, then you will be at stock height and will have a harsh ride. You need either TRD 2WD or TRD 4WD coils to get the proper lift AND ride.

A and B signifies driver and pasenger on the OME stuff. Usually as a result of every OME product I installed the passenger side will go on the driver side and driver will go to passenger here in the states b/c everything is backwards in austrailia.

I have a Ivan Stewart pkg tundra. Whom ever you bought it from either lied, doesn't know, or isn't telling you everything(misinform). Coils are not part of the Ivan Stewart pkg. The coils you got are regular 2wd coils.
A complete Ivan Stewart pkg includes:
body kit
bumper, grille, flares, mirror covers
(made by Molly Design)

red/blue bilsteins
2wd and 4wd

6 stickers
1 "TRD" logo on the lower driver side of the grille insert.
1 sticker plaque on the bottom of the radio says "TRD" on the left, "IVAN STEWART" and "SIGNATURE EDITION" on the right, "Ivan Stewart" signed in the middle.
2 stickers on the door or cab windows say "Ivan Stewart" signed on top and "SIGNATURE EDITION" on the bottom.
2 rear quarter panel says "TOYOTA RACING DEVELOPMENT" on top, "TRD" in the middle, "SIGNATURE EDITION" on the bottom, "Ivan Stewart" signed across the middle "TRD" logo.

Set of TRD 16X8 rims
Made by Niche(called Throttle rims if bought as aftermarket)
lugs and locks

265/70/16 BFG TA/KO

The TRD Ivan Stewart pkg does not come as a pkg from Toyota nor is it part of the TRD offraod pkg. It is a dealer installed option from TRD.

Yup... I got some "2WD Ivan" coils and struts my first time around. I got the billies and regular 2WD coils. I then bought the 2WD TRD coils and sold the NON-TRD's later. Sorry for the confusion if you thought that "2WD Ivan Stewart" = "2WD TRD" because as you've found out, they're not the same. I have those struts, and they're not bad, but they're shorter than OME. If you're going for looks and street ride, then they'll be fine. If you want offroad perfornmance, then get OME. I'm selling mine soon (probally the whole setup as a pkg) and getting all new TRD 4WD coils w/ OME struts and a new top plate. That way, somebody will get a sweet BOLT-ON front lift.

My advise: Dump them on eBay or tundrasolutions.com. Buy some TRD 4WD coils from one of the links to the wholesale suppliers USING THE PART NUMBERS that people have had good success with and then get some OME N91s Firm struts from wheeler's offroad.

I don't know if the 2wd and TRD 2wd coils will lift you 4runner at all. Simply because 2wd and TRD 2wd tundra owners are getting 2" of lift with either 4wd or TRD 4wd coils. Both of the tundra 4wd or TRD 4wd coils will lift your 4runner. The TRD 4wd tundra coils will give you a softer ride on initial bump and gets firmer as the spring continue to compress, "supposedly". I've tried both the TRD 4wd and regular 4wd coils on my tundra and felt no difference in ride quality. There just isn't enough progressive on the coils to be felt.

If those shocks are indeed truly 2wd Ivan shock, they are perfect match for the tundra coils. I feel the stock bilsteins are a little under damped for the tundra. I don't know why everyone here wan't a softer than bilstein shock when with the stiffer tundra coils you should be getting higher dampening shock to dampen the rebound of the stiffer tundra coils. That's what most tundra owners are doing, they're upgrading to HD 4wd bilsteins which are the same dampening rate as the 4wd Ivan shocks.

I've had the 2WD NON_TRD Tundra coils on my runner and they were OEM runner height and WAY STIFF w/ a spacer in there. The 2WD TRD, 4WD TRD, and 4WD NON-TRD coils are all about the same w/ the TRD ones being progressive.

1. OEM Toyota/Bilsteins - color yellow/blue , labeled with both the Toyota and Bilstein brand names - comes as part of the TRD Offroad pkg option package. Toyota part # 4851009350 (front) & 4853109141 (rear).

2. TRD Bilsteins for 4x4's - color red/blue, labeled with both the Toyota and Bilstein brand names. TRD part number 00602-48500-100. Available from Toyota Dealers as a TRD Sport Part and part of the Ivan Stewart pkg. These shocks are 40% stiffer on bump and about 25% stiffer on rebound than #1.

3. TRD Bilsteins for 4x2's - color red/blue, labeled with both the Toyota and Bilstein brand names. TRD part number 00602-48500-101. Available from Toyota Dealers as a TRD Sport Part and part of the Ivan Stewart pkg. These shocks are slightly softer at low velocities, but stiffer at high velocities than #1.

4. HD Bilsteins - color yellow/blue, labeled with Bilstein brand name. BE5-6024 front & BE5-6025 rear.
NOTE - These shocks are NOT the same as the yellow/blue shocks that come equipped on trucks from the factory with the TRD Off Road Pkg. These shocks are functionally the same as the TRD Bilsteins for 4x4's - color red/blue (#2 above)

LOL, I didn't know my work was so famous... [blush] Yup, it took me quite a while to dig that up including spending insame amounts of time on the phone ON HOLD w/ bilstein, Toyota, and TRD to get that info.

The struts that I recommend for the 4runner are the SOFTER 2WD TRD RED Billie OR the OME N91s Firm Strut. Both of those are about the same and are MUCH SOFTER than the RED 4WD TRD Billies and the Yellow Billie HD's.

Not so, if I were to put the regular 2wd or 2wd TRD coils on my 4X4 tundra, my front end will squat down 2". Both 2wd coils are same rated and both 4wd coils are same rated with the exception of the TRD's being progressive as you stated.
Putting a spacer in with any coils increases the preload. That's where your stiff ride comes from.

Whenever I get some TRD tundra DC coils I'll sell mine. That means I'll have 4 sets of 4wd coils to sell. 1 set of PP1" coils, 2 sets of regular 4wd tundra coils and when I can get the DC TRD coils, a set of 4wd TRD tundra coils.
