Tundra Coils Yielded Just Under ONE Inch?
Before my lift, (Tundra/OME), I was sitting at 35" up front ground to fender. Now I'm at about 35 7/8". I have not had my front aligned yet, my question is could alignment make my front raise? They are the TRD Tundra 4x4 coils. YY/BY. I dont get it?!?!?!?!

Depends on what year Runner you have from what I have read. Some are lower from others from the factory. My '00 would probably see more lift than your '98. Check SonoranSteel.com He's got a lot of info there if you can't find it here.

An alginment will in no way effect the height of the vehicle, it justs points the wheels in the right direction.

I am looking for a totally new setup for my 2000 4runner that will give me a little lift (about an inch) but will give a really nice ride as right now it is my Daily driver. later i will build it into a real tril rig but right now it is only minor trails...
So what i am asking is you say it is stiff, uncomfertabley stiff? and how is handling?

If you want a really nice ride I WOULD NOT recommend it. It rides like a truck for sure. For off road it's probably great. But if you like the way your daily driver is stock, I wouldn't do this setup. I went with used springs and it's still very stiff. I personally like the handling, but if your thinking of doing this and your ride is a concern, I would suggest finding someone with it and riding in their rig first to see if you like it. If you only want an inch and you like your stock cushy ride, then go with spacers. I know people don't really like them, but there cheap, easy to install, and don't really affect your ride.

Yeah, ride comfort is a concern but so is handling (lots of twisty back roads around me and deer are a problem). I really don’t mind a little truck feel (well actually I don’t mind it at all it is the other people that ride with me that do….) it is the totally truck feel I don’t really care for.
I know on imports they have adjustable shocks and coils, so you can adjust both ride height and handling. Has anyone ever heard about something like this for our trucks? Now that would be great, you can get just the lift you want (but since most people want all of it you can even it out) and the ride soft and comfy for daily driving and stiff for off-road/handling.
So anyone have any suggestions for a good setup that has about stock feel but a little bit of a lift?
Oh, and I would keep my stocks but they are dead. The rears were already not good but after towing an overloaded trailer it killed them altogether, I lost about 3/4 inch in the rear ever since. And the front is not much better, so I need new coils and shocks all around.

They do make adjustables for our rigs. It all depends what you want to spend. Rancho 9000's have a knob on the side and you can opt for the incab adjuster. Or you can spring for set of Donahoe Racing coilovers for close to a grand.
