trucks abroad, central america...

hey folks,
just got back from a 2 week vacation in costa rica/panama. needless to say, the most popular trucks there are toyotas, pretty rough terrain, especially going up into the mountains, and they drive mostly diesel toyotas. i did see other trucks, but id say 80% of the trucks were toyotas and 90% of them were diesel. here are some pics.

I lived in Colombia and Venezuela for a while and its the same story. I actually had a Land Cruiser that looked exactly like this pic below. (these are your pics, I just don't know the model names of the foreign versions) (First Pic)

Every car thats used to climb, move or do about anything thats utility is a toyota, most are extended land cruisers. The police uses a lot of the sportier land cruisers that looks like the pic below. (Second Pic)

Its amazing that most are diesel, and they're much nicer trucks in my eyes than the US version of the land cruisers. My all time favorite would have to be the older version of the land cruisers, and you see those as often as you see a corolla in the US, its like truck heaven down there. (Third Pic)

Thanks for the pics! I went to El Salvador about 2-3 months ago and 80-90% of the vehicles there were Toyotas. Here's two pics of my uncle's Hilux and my other uncle's Nissan Frontier, both diesel! So much torque!
