Trouble matching up 194 corners w/Philips Vision + headlights (and yes I searched!)
Ok dammit, I'm getting frustrated...
I've put 3 types of 194 bulbs in my clear corners trying to match w/ my Philips vision plus headlights w/out success.
I've tried 2 variations of halogen "xenon" bulbs that look crappy blue. Most recently I've tried some "white" led style 194's off EBay that are closer but still have a different shade of white closer to HID...my headlights are just plain white!
The only thing I can think to try now is PIAA Super White led's but I'm concerned they will be exactly like the ones I already have...
Pfdaxe-I know you have the PIAA's in you rig, but you also have true HID heads. Are they more plane white or more like true HID? If they match your HID's then they are like what I have currently.
I'm about to just put my damn amber bulbs back in!!
I've searched threads all day and cant seem to nail it down...
Thanks for any help! Wish I could post pics but dont have the resources to do so currently.

I've tried and tried different bulbs for the corners to match my superwhite bulbs with no success. I used to have a pair of blue LED's in the corners and that didn't look to bad, but since one of them stopped working, I switched for the superwhite bulbs and does not look bad at all with headlights.

Are you reffering to PIAA super white LED's? If so I may get those as a last ditch effort...
I have some 5000K, 100w H3's in my fogs that match pretty well w/ the Vision Plus headlights, even though there are even whiter than my headlights, but my corners just look out of place...
Thanks!

My Phillips Cool Blues (don't think they call 'em that anymore) are over 3 years old. They look 'white'. Good bulbs. I just got some 194 Piaa's (slight blue tint to unlit bulb) and they match well.

Butnut,
Long time no see. What kind of light output do you get from those Philips Cool Blues? I've got a pair of Silverstars and a pair of Philips Blue Visions and neither appear a tenth as white as yours. Yours look great.

Hey Matt. Well, they are whiter and brighter than stock. They look good without being blinding like the higher output Piaa's I started out with. They are printed on the package as 'legal'. As discussed before, they seem a little weak in the rain at night. They last hella long though...I'm pleased with 'em so far...I'm done with playing with bulbs.

I've kinda got the same dilemma. I've pretty much decided to forget about the HIDs (even though the ballasts are still mounted) and I installed a pair of Sylvania Silverstars. They are alright, but by no means comparable to the HIDs. The Silverstars are rated at 4000K. I need to find a corner lamp bulb to match. Which will be a closer match to the color of the Silverstars.....The 4150K Piaa Xtreme White or the 3800K Piaa Super White? Later.

Somewhere here I read that the Xtreme White was way to "blue" and that super white was what you wanted if you wanted "white"...I'm going to try them w/ my philips vision +'s. If that doesnt match I'm going back to amber because everythint else I tried looks stupid and doesnt match...

Hi kraegelb
Try powerbulbs.com for the sidelights. I have the phillips vision plus bulbs and a set of phillips vision plus sidelights and they match perfectly. They are about £9 sterling a set but are pure white, not the bluish white of leds.
Hope to get some pics up over the weekend.

That's what I'm looking for! Again, I only see Philips Blue Vision sidelights, not Vision + on the website...? Are you sure yours are Vision + or are they Blue Vision?
