Thanks for your reply Gadget.
On the Split Second site there is a FTC1 for $529 and FTC1-E for $579(with ESC) which unit do you recomend?
And have you seen or heard anything about the Perfect Power SMT6 for $250(piggy back to ECU, adjustable) or their PRS8 for $900 (replaces the ECU, fully adjustable) Do you feel they are good options, or stay away from them and stick with Split Second?
For a fuel pump I will need to go with an external pump because I am putting in a 46 gallon fuel cell once the cage is completed. From the cab back the truck will have a full tube frame. Friends recomended a Mallory unit that is 60GPH ( = 226.8 LPH )Summit part # MAA-4060FI. They run them on their EFI 3.0 V6 Toyota race trucks with fuel cells. I assume that pump would do the trick?
If you get a chance take a look at my friend Mark's truck on race-dezert.com http://race-dezert.com/skunkz/newhan/index.html
I bought his fuel cell, wheels, tires, spindles and some other misc. parts because he is changing them with something else. My T-100 will be built similar to his Chevy. (just in case any of you are wondering what the heck I am doing with this truck... ) and also check out the video we produced, its linked at the bottom of that picture page.

jdfab,
I talked with Split Second numerous times lately on all these issues, and they said the FTC1-E would be the best route for our trucks, becuase we can take advantage of the ESC function, which allows us to run it in open loop (whatever that means). I'm going to definitely get the FTC1-E for $579.00!!

I haven't looked at it all, because Dr. Z said that the guys at Unichip, recommended the Perfect Power SMT-5 or SMT-6, which is odd for a company to do, but they said it was a better unit for our vehicles. I'm not going to get it, and I'm almost 100% convinced we don't need it at all. Here's what Gadget had to say about the difference between the SMT-6 and FTC1-E:
"I still think that the FTC would have an advantage as it has the ESC function for trucks that can benefit from it and it uses manifold pressure instead of throttle position. Depending on the ambient conditions you can get a variation in manifold pressure at the same throttle position so I like being able to tune to manifold pressure better. The cost does have a definite advantage for trucks that can't use the ESC function. It also looks smaller so it would be easier to tuck away somewhere out of site."
Take it for what it's worth. I'm pretty sure I'm going to get the FTC1-E based on Gadget's recommendation, and it's been tested numerous times, which the SMT-6 has not. Not to say that it won't be great, but it's just proven enough for me. Not yet, at least.

I don't think they did the free FMU setup. I will have to go look. If not, do I just have to hook the FMU line to the boost port on the supercharger? then what about hooking up a boost gauge if you use that port?
