I did that exact thing...it didn't let me either....call the 800 number and just tell them the online ordering isn't working and you'd like to order them over the phone...that's what I did!

hope you get em....it's the best deal going...you save money for .....well, more mods!

I got mine from Roger Magana on the phone at Cabe. He did a superlative job, especially with me being suspicious and asking lots of questions.

562-595-7411 but you can call 800-576-2223 and ask for parts dept.

Can somebody confirm if the 96-02 set is TRD/Bilstein or just Bilstein?

Ah. I suspected so, wonder where they keep the TRD's. Well it's still a damn good deal.

DId you know they were non TRD before buying? The website makes it look like they're all TRD.

So just to verify that I have all components needed. The bushing (where it attaches to the rear axel) for the rear strut comes in two pieces or do I need to reuse a part from the old strut?
Thanks

I think the regular Bils are stiffer then what Toyota call their TRD shocks.

yeah...it comes in two pieces....the only thing you re-use is up front - the seat for the top of the coil spring and the washer in the same spot...I'm pretty sure that's it IIRC.....

Carsten-
nope...you'll be cool reusing those few parts that you have to reuse.

Also, wanted to reply to Sean's post from earlier (up above)
-> I guess that's the difference between living (and having a truck that HAS lived) in the "rust belt" - my rear shocks were the biggest pains in the ass to remove.....frozen on solid at the top! ONE side just BROKE off at the bolt (like I was HOPING it would) and the other was a nasty old time! Don't even get me started on my sway bar end links - whole ˟˟˟˟! 1 hour with a sawzall on that bad dawg! Try cutting one of those bolts off w/ out damaging the A arm!!!

ah...now they are just memories!

Just an update. Tacoma Dude (Peter ) helped me I installed the Bils yesterday. They are a great ride. It seems I got a slight lift, but they probably need to settle a bit before I can tell.

Did you get this lift all around or just in the front or rear? I wouldn't mind a little help on my saggy butt.

I think it is even all around, at least it looks that way. But it didn't measure before and after on the rear so I can't say.

Anyone else gotten theirs yet? Are we still psyched on the deal? I'm thinking of calling and ordering today for my 4Runner if they've still got 'em and everyone's still happy...

I just got mine today, all wrapped up & ready to install. I dropped my truck at the stealer to have my gas gauge sender replaced, and asked them about prices to install them (have no access to a lift, can't do work at my apartment). They quoted me $145 for the rears and $350 + $80 for the fronts and alignment! I thought that those prices were high, especially for the front. I'm having them do the rears since they are in worse shape than the fronts, but I'm still thinking of telling them to hold off and having my local garage do all four and the alignment since they should be cheaper then the stealer.

Any thoughts on this?

wow mang....that seem REALLY high.

You don't NEED a lift....really....do you have access to a concrete slab, full wrench set and tools? jack stands....jack....etc...?

I'm SURE there are many yota techies in your area that would jump on helping ya!

Wow rwmorrisonjr those prices are high. I got the rears installed for $15 in Dallas at a local offroad shop. The fronts are gonna be installed on Friday for $30 or 60, I forgot. My local dealer wanted $125 for everyting installed and 4 Wheel Parts wanted alittle over $200.

Most places around here wanted $250 for all four but Brakes Plus did mine for $150.

That's what I thought, was paying more for the convenience factor than anything else.

A- That's a good thought, I'm meeting a bunch of VA 4Roc & CORE folks on Sunday, might be some local YotaTechies there as well, will see if they can help me. If not, I'll check with my local shop.

X- Even $250 would be better than what the stealer was charging.
