Transmission housing bolts?
I was under my car yesterday checking my new cv axles to make sure the boots werent rubbing against each other again, and what do you know I think they are still rubbing and I dont know how to fix that problem. But I also noticed that there were about 3 missing bolts(Trans. housing bolts Im guessing). I dont know if they are supposed to be gone or if they are needed? Anyone know if their transmission has all the bolts connecting it. It doesnt look as flush as the other side of the transmission that has the bolts. So Im a little concerned here. Any advice, thanks guys.

What kind of motor/trans? Where are the bolts missing? There are some holes that could lead you to believe that some are missing. Some bolt from one side of the housing and some bolt from the other.

I have the 3.0. Dont know about my trans. There are three missing. they are on the drivers side of the trans. One of them has grooves like it should have a bolt in it and the other two holes are smooth. I wish I could get a pic.
