Transmission Cooler 2002 4x4 Question

Transmission Cooler 2002 4x4 Question
I'm preparing to install an auxiliary automatic transmission cooler.
Which line is the return line to the transmission from the radiator cooler? I have seen some posts for cooler installations for older vehicles that indicate that it is on the drivers side of the vehicle close to the big radiator hose. Is it the same for a 2002 4x4?
Thanks,
Hudson

Will most likely be on the driver-side of the rad, but some 4Runners (I.E. a '98 2WD 2.7L) may have it on the passenger-side. I'm not sure exactly how many & which models definitely have it on the passenger-side though...

I just installed the mother of all transmission coolers, from a class A motorhome towing up to 10,000 pounds and can confirm that Jackson's diagram is correct for my 2001 Tacoma anyway.

Thanks for the confirmation.
I'm also installing a non-toyota cooler with a higher capacity (24,000 total weight rating) and that is why I had to ask the question. I suppose that if you buy the $238 TRD cooler instead of the $70 aftermarket with greater capacity, then you get the "instructions". I always like to get more for less.
