Tranny cooler hose question

Sup guys... Last night, I finally got around to installing the tranny cooler lines... I purchased 4' of transmission cooler line and when I did the install, you guessed it... the size was too small, they gave me a 5/16"... I remember reading not to get the 5/16" one but totally forgot all about it when I purchased the line. Anyways, I was able to get the 5/16" hose to fit, not pushed all the way in but just enough to clamp them tight.

I went to the store to pick up some 3/8" hose today and they didn't have a 3/8" transmission cooler line. I ended up getting a 3/8" fuel line. I was wondering if the fuel line would be ok to use as a tranmission cooler line? Would the heat be too much for the fuel line? Should I just stick with the 5/16" one even though I barely have them on enough to clear the nipple with the clamp?

Nope, don't use fuel line, only use tranny hose. Fuel line will burst on you eventually.

darn.... Thanks for the headsup bro... I was about to swap the lines... anyone know if Pepboys/Autozone/Napa carries the 3/8" transmission cooler hose? I went to Kragen and all they had was the 5/16".
