i don't know if it's the batteries or what, but today when i picked up the truck they didn't work. So they sent me to the installer where he would fix it free of charge. So i get there, and he pushes the button and it works. So i try it and it doesn't work, until i DOUBLE CLICKED the buttons. So to lock and unlock i had to double click. Sounds weird. But i get home and try it again and it doesn't work!!! I have 2 remotes and only one of them works....maybe my auto car starter is messing things up??

also maybe it's personalized so how do i reset them back to factory settings??

 

I have never had to re-set mine but i know that the instructions on how to do it are in the owners manual.

 

maybe bad contacts for the batteries, which may be going bad.
i only have to single click for my 02 4runner, double click to unlock all doors

 

Mine was acting funny when I got the 4runner. I changed the batteries in both of them and they are working perfectly again.

 

Did you replace the batteries?
