Tool to remove oil presuure sending unit
WHat size socket or tool do you use to remove the oil pressure sending unit on a 1st gen 22re???
I can't get a wrench in there, especially not with my shock hoops...Hopefully there is a socket I can buy.

this is for a light right? i think its the same size as the knock sensor 24mm maybe. I use a 14mm wrench to get them off not sure why your hoops would be so close to the moter

It's not that the hoops are that close, but it makes it more difficult to work around it. A socket woud be the best since I can torque on it outside of the engine bay.
The sensore is on super tight. I had vise grips on it and I was using a camstrap to pull off some preload while I tried to tap it with a mallet....taht didn't even break it. I think I need to use a socket and a breaker bar.
So 24mm? anyone else want to verify that before i go buy a 24mm socket?
Thanks

The 24mm socket would be worth buying - I don't know if it'll fit the application you want it for now BUT it'll come in handy for the differentials.

if going to get the sender socket, make sure you get a sender socket and not a regular socket... senders usually have some wierd fittings on them allowing them to not properly fit in the socket, and are normally too long becasue of wiring or plugs on the backside

well I just want to remove it so a sender socket really wouldn't be worth having after this comes off. I will be putting the sr5 sender on. Maybe I'll just have a shop do it
