Tire size on 2nd gen

Tire size on 2nd gen
Right now I have 30X9.50 tires on my 4runner. I wondering if i can fit 31X11.50 stock.
Another question:
Do yalls bumbers come closer to the tire on the drivers side then the passebger side? Mine does and so does my friends.

Yes you can fit 31x10.5. Is that the width you meant. I know some tire manf. make the 31x11.5 but most 31x10.5 or 32x11.5. I think a good base rule is that you don't go over 4 inches width in comparison to your rim. If you have the stock alloys they are 15x7 and you'll be fine as that is what other stock setups come with (15x7 on 31x10.5) but I'm sure the 11.5 width would also fit if you find/buy that tire combo. 2nd question: never really noticed a difference

John Boy, If you want to get a basic good stock size tire set-up I'd suggest the 31x10.5 you could go as big as 32x11.5 but you will likely get some rub at certain angles also at full steeing wheel crank. You will likely feel some power loss with the larger tires.

Ya see Dan, I mean "MODZILLA", you can't rush a good thing. Truth is I have had nightmares of my mechanic ruining my 4runner project. It's got to be the Iraqi air over here or something.

Im thinking about bfg m/t 31X10.50 KO. I have heard nothing but good things about this. By the way, about the bumper thing, it looks like the bumper is slightly sagging in the front left thats the reason it is closer to the tire, i cant find which screw came out or what broke off of it to get it back up. Might have to drill some holes.
