Timming Belt
How mush work are the timming belts on these rigs?
WIll I need the listed toyota tools to do the job (three or 4 listed in the repair manual)?
I have 144km/85miles, should I be nervous or change in the near future?
Thoughts/experience would be great.
It's good to be back on here

He's got a new to him 3rd gen 4Runner if I remember correctly, but still needs to post the usual info.
The 3.4 is a non-interference engine so worst you're going to get is stuck on the side of some road, usually at the most inconvenient time. At least you should be able to wait for warm weather. I've done it without the tools, and with. Guess which time went quickest and easiest?
Agree with searching, many have posted the two really good links on t-belt replacement, on the tool rworegon speaks of and on the non Snap-On version of the hydraulic tensioner tool.
