Timing belt done

Timing belt done
96 ltd with 220k miles.
Belt had 140k and still barely shows wear. But I guess one can not tell.
The idlers on the timing belt had some play in them.
The water pump was a little loose also.
Quite the trick to get the belt on and in time. I ended up getting it on the two cam pulleys first, loosened the idler to get some slack, got the belt on the crank, then tightened up.
It was interesting that the hand scribed marks were off about one tooth compared to the stamped, on the cam pulleys. I lined up to the stamped marks and all seems great.
Truck has less idling noise.
I was wondering, what would happen if one or both of the cam timing marks were off by one tooth?
So new pump, belt, tensioner, idlers and fuel filter.
Total time just under 5 hours (with some breaks).
Having the right tools helps termendously.
I think there were others doing this, this weekend.
How did it go?

did my 98 sr5 with 220,000 original belt over the weekend. belt showed some signs of dry rot on back side the cog side had a couple of chunks out of it but overall not that bad idlers were pretty rough water pump wasnt that bad but i replaced it too. your right the right tools made it pretty easy i was about 4-5 hr. by myself. the cherp at idle is gone and its so quite now. i think it cost me about $200. to do myself $500 for just water pump and belt at local shop. thats 6 tanks of gas!!
