Thule Lappland Cargo Basket...Mounting Suggestions?
What's up guys. I posted a thread the other day about Yakima and Thule and Corey included a link in his response to this Thule cargo basket:
http://www.roofrackwarehouse.co.uk/i...spx?PartNo=720
I love this thing! There are a few issues with it though. First, they only sell it in Europe. I have searched all over the internet and there is no dealer in the US that carries it. I emailed Roof Rack Warehouse and shipping will be $70-$90 to get it across the pond.
My main question to them was the mounting options. I would like to mount it like Jeffrey mounted his Jaos rack:

Flush with the roof and attached to the stock tracks on the roof. They told me that they did not carry anything to mount it that way. They said my only option was to mount it on top of the stock cross bars or Thule crossbars. Anyone know if the Jaos clips used to mount their rack to the stock tracks will work with this thing, or will I need to invest in a Thule rack system to mount the basket to?
Thanks guys. Later.
Matt

Micker,
Thanks a bunch for that link. I emailed Accessories Connection and Surco about it. My question to them was, do those clips have to mount to a crossbar in order to hold the cargo basket and if that is the case, what holds the basket to the crossbars? This sucks being in an all fired hurry to get this stuff done, but procrastination has gotten me again. Thanks for the help. Later.

It sounds to me like the CH1100 mount (I think) will screw directly to the runner main mount rails. Hope this works for you. I think that's what I would want it to do.
And yes, we know about procrastination.
