I see everybody is talking about ME(NX Tacoma)!! I did blow up my motor, but it was MY bad not the nitrous!! I was running a 125 shot, you can blow up any motor if you dont watch the temp(like I did). You can run a 75 shot on a STOCK 3.4 without any problems! Their are 3 key things you need to know: 1- MUST HAVE...get an RPM window switch, this will tell the NX when its the right time to spay. I have mine set at 2500(on) to 5500(off). 2- get a gauge to veiw the temp of the motor. Dont do what I did!!! 3- dont forget about your tran's, get a HP valve body! Their is ALOT more to tell you so PM me with any question's or to veiw pic of my NX setup.

I wasn't agreeing or disagreeing with streetable NOS set-ups, I was just trying to be funny.

They call them 50 shots or 75 shots etc. based on the estimated horsepower gain. So a 50 shot should give you about 50 horsepower. It also helps to think that an less efficient engine will creat more of a HP gain with NOS than a more efficient engine. So the 3.slow will most likely make 50 or more HP from a 50 shot. My old '96 VTEC H22 was a 2.2 Liter that make 200hp so a 50 shot probably wouldn't have made 50 HP since that engine was pretty efficient. The 3.0 is a lot bigger than the my H22 but makes a lot less HP so the NOS should work better on it. I know you are talking about your 22RE so just think that the 50 shot will give you about 50 HP

high shot with kill the engine... a 55 shot should be fine.... do minor engine work/upgrades ... and you'll be fine...

Yay, I'm glad you posted that link because I have not read that in years. I was going to make a reference to that but I didn't have the link.

This thread has been very educational for an old fart like me. So....what does it cost to fill a nitrous bottle? Sounds like it is very short in useful time, but fun.
