Things to look for
Hello all,
I am going to look at and drive a 2000 Toyota 4runner in the morning, I was wondering if any of you can tell me things to look out for or inspect when I check it out???
It is a 2000 SR5, has the rear locker in it , it is in mint condition, garage kept, serviced by dealer, has 130k, looks brand new!!! I have wanted a 2000 Limited for a long time!!!! but every time I find one it gets sold right away or they have been drivin hard and abused... what is the main difference between the Limited and the SR5?? 1 better then the other?? I have lots to learn!! and a lot of reading!!
I appreciate any and all info..

rust issues pretty much through out
it sounds like the one your are looking at is in good shape
there was a recall on the frames

Major differences SR5 to Limited include:
Color matched bumpers, side cladding, digital A/C, immobilizer chip.
Most of the other stuff was available on the SR5 as an option: leather seats, fog lights, etc. Only SR5's got manual transmissions.
This is from memory, I'm sure there is more.
There is a pretty good sticky on the 'other' forum:
