TAP Recycling
He he, I just thought I'd post this here to inform the toyota newbies about TAP Recycling: The Infamous Pirate Thread
An alternative is Toyota Truck Parts just down the road.
Every toyota owner should read at least part of that continuing saga.

I went there last week to get some bucket seats for my pick up and they wanted $100 for some seats that were torn, so i asked the guy if i could look at them again. Then guy showing me around told me to try other junkyards. He said they are way over priced and i could get some nice one somewhere else for like $50.
I thought it was funny when one of their workers told me to go somewhere else.

Anyone who has time to read all 21 pages of that thing needs to get their ass in the garage and start building something or get another hobby.
OK OK Tap sux. If they send you the wrong thing and you have to try to return it you are screwed. We get it already.
You are much better off searching all of your local yards before you order from TAP in California. Your neighborhood yard guy needs your buisness. In most cases he deserves it also. And if he tries to screw you you can go yell at him in person and/or sue him in local court.
I'm really greatful for my wonderful Toyota only yard that is about 2 miles from home. The guy that owns it is one of the nicest and fairest guys you will ever meet. He's got a yard full of Toyota trucks and 4Runners. Too bad he's not on the net.
I love A-J Salvage in Colorado Springs.

Where was that A-J yard at? I don't really remember seeing any Toyota yards when we used to live there.

Its off of Las Vegas on Hugo down where most of the other junkyards are, just south of where Royer crosses the RR tracks.

hey guys. Recently I bought new toy and I am looking for rear propeller shaft for 1992 4WD MT 3L 4runner. I've already tried junk yards web sites with no much luck when I friend suggested TAP recycling in CA.
...and here I am reading about how TAP sucks......so can someone recommend a junk yard that carry 4runner parts in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. I'm willing to give bushiness to the local guys if I can go somewhere where yota users shop with confidence.
Thanks in advance.
