Tacoma wheels

Hey brothers got a line on a sweet deal on some wheels and tires off of an 18 tacoma. Quick question will they fit a third gen? It has the stock 265/70/16 wranglers on them right now and I would roll with those for a few. Thanks Russ

What size are the bigger tires you are trying to fit?

Nothing crazy. I'm more worried about the rims fitting I'll ride around on the Goodyears for a while.

I currently have some just plain jane 18's on it. I have had those on there since 05 when I bought the truck. She was my DD up until two years ago and has been sitting in the driveway not moving. Well I have the funds now to get her back on the road and I was gonna do a rim tire package either cooper stt pros or nitto ridge grappler because I have had great experience with both tires on my Ram. I was leaning on going back to a 16" setup but wasnt set but these rims are cheap. Once again thank you for the replies.

Listing the wheel size doesn't really help determine whether your combination is going to work. You could put 20s on the truck and use low profile tires and be fine, or put some 35x12.50 15s on there and jam inner fender around every corner. Width is your limiting factor in most scenarios. If you a sticking with Toyota wheels, I think the offset is going to remain similar (caveat of sticking with 4wd wheels and not trying to jam some camry wheels on). So take your current set-up and with the wheels turned to lock in one direction gauge how much room you have between the inner edge of the tire and the inner fender, then do the same measurement with the wheels turned the opposite direction.

If stock was 265/70, I would think you could probably fit 285s under there without much rub if any.
